Project Engineer-Safety
Zeeco, Inc. seeks Project Engineer-Safety. Test for safety & mechanical integrity, confirm equipment selection, coordinate schedule for drafting & manufacturing, maintain cost budget, check project documentation & drawings. Confirm equipment selection & design. Coordinate & review process design calculations and sketches to establish equipment design. Review project metallurgy. Make turnover packages between engineering & drafting. Review drawings & documents to confirm that project requirements are met. Review shop releases to ensure that equipment is fabricated to the drawings/documents. Attend customer meetings, assist with startups & commissioning and oversee sub vendor’s fabrication. Review installations, Operations, and Maintenance Manuals in accordance with project requirements.
Requires: BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering + 1 yr as Chemical or Safety Engineer and/or working in hazards research. Must have expertise in MATLAB and ASPEN. Requires certifications from American Institute of Chemical Engineers: (1) Importance of Process Safety (2) Hazard Recognition (3) Identifying & Minimizing Process Safety Hazards (4) Introduction to Managing Process Safety Hazards. Must be fluent in Spanish & English to serve the needs of our Mexico & Brazil facilities & Spanish-speaking vendors, customers, & end-users.
