Job Summary

This position supports internal and external communications for the Utah Education and Telehealth Network.
The incumbent in this position follows departmental and organizational processes to plan and develop communication projects aligned with UETN's strategic goals and brand identity.
They coordinate and synthesize input from multiple contributors to create, refine, and implement communication project plans, producing content as assigned for internal and external audiences such as reports, web copy, press releases, and more.
They also contribute to the success of the team with meticulous copy editing skills, strong organizational and time management skills, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Writes, prepares, and/or reviews articles and other content to be used in company publications for external and internal audiences
• Makes sure all work follows editorial policies and standards
• Consistently produces clean, smart copy tailored to audience, purpose, and distribution platform
• Manages files and projects to department standards
• Conducts research for communications projects, including interviewing subject matter experts
• Communicates effectively and collegially with colleagues and stakeholders across work units whether working virtually or in person
• Manages multiple, concurrent projects and assignments for timely delivery
• Assists in preparing strategic plans that align communication with relevant operational/organizational goals
• Participates in identifying appropriate key performance indicators (KPIs) and evaluating the success of communication projects
• Engages in approved professional learning as needed to grow and adapt to ongoing developments within organization and industry
• Learns and applies fundamental principles of designing for accessible communication such as universal design, Plain Language, etc.
• Participates in initiatives to define/refine and communicate organizational processes, practices, and tools
• Gives and receives feedback in a constructive manner

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required.

Preference will be given to applicants with the following qualifications:
Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description. Writing samples and editing test are required.
