Job Description

The Department of Family and Community Medicine seeks an experienced health services researcher to join a vibrant community of faculty scholars in a Top 10 department. The successful candidate will help us to discern and evaluate trends in primary care practice, and contribute to harmonizing research with our clinical and education missions to support clinical innovation. This position will leverage state-based and EHR data including patient data from our 10 suburban and rural practices, as well collaboration with the Greater Plains Collaborative big data sets from multiple states. Emphasis for this position is placed on clinical innovation, evaluation, and process improvements for Primary Care/Family Medicine practices in the 21st century, and will enjoy the infrastructure of a robust research staff, grants management, data analysts, informatics, large databases, as well as a departmental librarian. Faculty will enjoy a robust multi-level primary care research educational pipeline and the opportunity to help develop our next generation of primary care researchers.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: PhD or MD or DO

Candidates Will Be Evaluated On: Qualified candidates with a history of major funding will be eligible for tenure track positions and start-up funding to contribute to their success.
