The shift for this position will be mostly days, 8:30AM – 5:00PM, but some evening and weekends may be required.

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified candidate for a research analyst position. The duties of this position will include conducting literature reviews on topics broadly involving social epidemiology and behavioral and mental health; managing, coding, and analyzing large, population-based epidemiological/complex survey datasets; and preparing data for presentation and publication support as well as assisting in the preparation of progress reports and grant applications.

Since this position is not tied to a specific project, the research analyst will assist with a variety of projects, papers, and ideas related to social and substance use epidemiology with focuses on racial health equity, social determinants of health, psychiatric comorbidities of substance use and use disorders, structural racism and discrimination, exposure to the criminal legal system, and tobacco and cannabis regulatory science.

Proficiency in a statistical software program such as SAS, Stata, and R is required, and strong academic writing, communication, and organizational skills are preferred.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision. In addition, must have excellent organizational skills, act independently with minimal supervision.

Experience with analyzing large, population-based secondary data is preferred. Experience with computers and statistical software programs (e.g., SAS, Stata, R) is required.
