Job Description Summary:
Recruitment, evaluation and education of patients for clinical trials; documentation per regulatory requirements; and work with research team for protocol management.

Job Description:

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in basic science, nursing or equivalent. A combination of education and related work experience may be substituted for the degree on a year-for-year basis.

Work Experience:
  • Six-month experience in clinical research, or equivalent.
  • Familiar with regulatory, FDA codes and guidelines for Good Clinical Practices.


Preferred Qualifications

Work experience:
  • Experience in Neurology, Parkinson Disease Research.
  • Experience with interacting with multidisciplinary teams including, physicians, and administrative staff.

Skills:
  • Excellent communication, writing, organizational and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated; and organized with excellent time-management skills.


Job Duties Outlined:
  • Recruit and educate patients for clinical trials.
  • Evaluate potential patient eligibility for clinical trials.
  • Maintain source documents and case report forms (CRF's) for clinical trials.
  • Perform subject visits procedures as needed per education and training.
  • Maintain trial regulatory documentation including correspondence with sponsor, KUMC Human Subject Committee and subjects.
  • Provide written and verbal reports to Principal Investigator and Project Manager as required.
  • Performs other duties as may be requested by supervisor.

Compensation Statement:

The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
