Part-Time Instructor, AHA Basic Life Support - (In Spanish)
Description
1. Demonstrate extensive knowledge of and experience in the appropriate subject matter.
2. Instruct students in a competency-based program curriculum using current instructional strategies appropriate to the subject matter to assure highest quality classroom instruction.
3. Effectively manage the classroom to create an optimal learning environment.
4. Maintain up-to-date records of student attendance, academic progress and grades as required by district policy and certification/regulatory agencies.
5. Ensure syllabus, supply list and lesson plans are current prior to each class taught.
6. Demonstrate effective people skills, communication skills and professionalism (i.e. - prepared, reliable, responsible, punctual, etc.)
7. Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission and goals of Tulsa Tech's ACD program.
8. Participate in professional development opportunities as required by the ACD department.
Position Requirements
- Bilingual in both Spanish and English
- Able to conduct AHA BLS training in Spanish
- American Heart Association (AHA) approved instructor in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Available to teach several days throughout the semester
- Experience training adults in AHA BLS required
Full-Time/Part-Time: Part-Time

Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Salary: Schedule Standard Rate Schedule for Non-Regular (Temporary, Adjunct, Substitute) and Regular-Part Time Employees
Hiring Range: $30/hour

Tulsa Tech is the oldest and largest career and technical training center in Oklahoma. We are an independent public school district, with multiple campuses in and around the Tulsa County area. Our school serves secondary students from public school districts throughout Tulsa County, as well as private, parochial and home-schooled students.
