Provide oversight for activities, events, programs, and services provided to students with disabilities. Ensure quality accommodations and services are accessible and provided to students reflective of AHEAD Program Standards and Performance Indicators. Coordinate compliance for the College with Section 504 of the 1973 Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act as amended, and other federal and state guidelines as appropriate. Confirm compliance in the delivery of accommodations and support services for students with disabilities, as well as compliance in communication access for students and staff who are deaf and hard of hearing.

Master's degree in Higher Educational Leadership, Educational Psychology, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Disabilities Studies, Rehabilitation Counseling, Vocational Rehabilitation, Special Education, or a related field.
Five years of experience in the assessment and determination of accommodations and support services for college students with disabilities.
Substantial experience working with persons with disabilities in a college or university setting specific to providing disability services for students and staff.
Administrative experience including employee supervision and budget responsibilities, and program development.
Education, training, and/or experience that establishes competence in the following areas: models of disability, universal design, and the social model of disability; competence with educational/adaptive technology; development of presentations on topics associated with disability services in higher education.
Ability to develop collaborative professional working relationships.
Ability to work outside normal operating hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
Knowledge, training, or experience in state and federal laws related to disability rights: ADA (Amended), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Section 508.
Ability to speak and translate American Sign Language.
Certification(s) in teaching students with various disabilities.
Starting Salary Range: $51,452 - $59,170
