Job Summary
The School of Communication, English, and World Languages is seeking an Assistant Professor of English with a specialization in Developmental Writing to begin Fall 2022.
The Assistant Professor has the primary responsibility of instruction in the classroom for students enrolled in Developmental Writing courses, as well as ensuring the success and retention of students while maintaining high academic standards.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidate should have credentials in one or more of the following:
Master's in English Composition and/or Rhetoric
Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in English Composition and/or Rhetoric
Master's in English Education
Primary teaching responsibilities in developmental writing courses.
Philosophy compatible with that of a comprehensive urban community college.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's in English with 9 hours of Reading.
Masters or Doctorate in a Developmental English-related field.
