Public Works Laborer CDL

Starting hourly rate: $19.34

REQUIREMENTS:
The Public Works Laborer position includes a variety of semi-skilled and skilled level work in the maintenance of streets and sewers, maintenance of public property, minor carpentry, construction tasks, and snow removal. The Public Works Laborer position will fill in when needed in the collection of refuse and bulk items. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of all vehicles and equipment used in all tasks. The public works laborer position works 7:00am – 3:00pm Monday through Friday unless otherwise assigned. Other duties shall include assigned weekend On-Call on a rotating basis, approximately (7) weekends annually. The position will require overtime for emergency Call-In work for various tasks. The Public Works Laborer will report to the Assistant Public Works Director / Operations and receives daily work assignments and responsibilities from a Public Works Foreman.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School education and experience in related work field is desirable. A valid class B commercial driver's license, with tanker endorsement and without air brake restriction, is required or must be obtained within four (4) months of first day of employment. Must have a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license. Additionally, the candidate must obtain Confined Space Certification, Work Zone Traffic Control Training within the first 12 months of employment.
