Purchasing Coordinator/Financial Assistant
Riverfield Country Day School is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator/Financial Assistant to join our nonprofit school’s business team. This person will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient financial operations of the school, focusing on purchases, accounts payable, credit card reconciliations, expense reimbursements, and bank deposits. The ideal candidate will have experience with Blackbaud and Quickbooks accounting software, moderate-level Excel experience, and strong organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchasing Coordinator
- Verify purchase requests for compliance with school policies
- Review and process purchase requests
- Accounts Payable Management
- Process invoices accurately and timely with proper general ledger coding
- Ensure timely payments to vendors
- Maintain records of accounts payable transactions
- Credit Card Reconciliations
- Reconcile credit card statements with receipts and invoices
- Identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
- Record transactions accurately in the accounting system
- Deposit and Cash Coordinator
- Record and prepare all bank deposits
- Prepare and close out cash boxes for school events
- Financial Recordkeeping
- Assist in preparing financial reports as needed
- Requirements: This position requires general office work with prolonged periods of sitting/standing; keyboard/mouse motions; speaking and hearing; near and distance vision; attending virtual and in-person meetings; occasional driving for local travel; occasional lifting up to 20 pounds; and pulling/pushing heavier items.
