Automation Engineer - New Model

Plasman SC (Greer, SC) seeks Automation Engineer – New Model to drive efforts to redesign and implement modifications to automotive assembly line in response to new model year specifications. Position must be able to drive equipment design and acquisition, perform benchmarking and continuous improvement, perform feasibility studies, and collaborate with customers on product design and quality issues. Must have Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or closely related field. Must have two years of experience in the job offered with the following specific skills required: sonic welding, vibration welding, adhesion bonding, screw assembly, and Vision systems; designing and modeling process flows based on these processes and experience drafting work instructions; designing product or designing process flows to produce, assemble, or paint exterior trim, fascia, bumpers, and related components.
