Orr Energy Services is looking for an experienced AP Accountant to join our team.  This individual would be responsible for AP, controls and compliance, and various other accounting duties. This role is a great fit for self-starters, with significant room for potential career growth with the company. We are located in Downtown Tulsa with operations across the region.  This is a full-time, in-person position in our offices with flexibility based upon the right individual’s ability to complete designated assignments. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accounts payable: bill entry, coding, reconciliation, reporting, vendor setup and compliance management.
  • 1099 and insurance tracking.
  • Assist with fixed asset tracking.
  • Monthly reporting and reconciliation of AP/AR accounts.
  • Assist with controls implementation and compliance.
  • Assist with month-end closings, including basic general journal entries.
  • Prepare reports for management as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Prior knowledge of QuickBooks Online or similar software preferred.
  • 2-year degree relevant to the position preferred, Bachelor’s degree a plus.
  • Good accounting background (minimum of 3+ years’ experience).
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills – pivot tables, Vlookup, etc.
  • Detail-orientation and professionalism are key.
  • Financial integrity beyond reproach. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Good communication and phone skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with co-workers.
  • Physically able to perform duties.

Job Type: Full Time, non-exempt

Pay: DOE
