The following position is available with the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education.

Performance Auditor

Ensure the Oklahoma CareerTech System is operating efficiently, and the data being reported is accurate and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience • Three years’ related experience • Knowledge of Fair Labor Standards Act

PREFERRED: • Bachelor’s degree in related field such as, business, accounting, education • Knowledge of CareerTech system • School administration experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Conduct performance audits of Technology Centers by applying auditing standards and gathering both qualitative and quantitative evidence including interviewing, analyzing documents and records, benchmarking, statistical analysis and consulting with stakeholders. 2. Identifies patterns, trends, and irregularities in data using statistical and analytical methods, and documents analysis and conclusions. 3. Provides analysis and recommendations based on an assessment of system-wide initiatives, projects, or programs with strategic, enterprise or tactical impacts. 4. Performs root cause analysis of complex problems, performing in–depth, rigorous analysis of programs, processes, and practices through data gathering, analytical techniques and systems evaluation. 5. Conducts assessments of program effectiveness, economy, and efficiency; internal control; compliance; and prospective analyses. 6. Gathers and correlates data from multiple sources; analyzing collected information to identify vulnerabilities with potential for exploitation and incorporating analysis into written audit reports. 7. Develops audit findings and recommendations in accordance with GAGAS, prepares and conducts oral presentations and written reports. 8. Conduct financial monitoring reviews of the 29 Technology Centers that are located throughout the state (Requires overnight travel). 9. Other duties as assigned.

Salary/Benefits: $66,375.50 - $74,861.82 commensurate with education or experience. Total salary and benefits package valued at $80,865.40 - $89,990.48.
