JOB ANNOUNCEMENT The following position is available with the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education.

Career Development Coordinator

Counseling & Career Development Provide leadership and expertise in the continued implementation, enhancement, and promotion of a statewide web-based career development system through excellent customer service, professional development, and technical assistance. Deliver continuous improvement in the system and its outcomes through the analysis of key performance metrics. Promote opportunities to strengthen business and educational partnerships to increase career awareness and educational attainment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree. Minimum of three years’ experience in education, career development or educational partnerships in business and industry. Knowledge of workforce development, leadership skills, communication skills (both oral and written)

PREFERRED: NCDA certification, teacher certification, and/or counselor certification. Experience in workforce connections, career development or community partnerships. Experience with Oklahoma Career Guide/KUDER platforms. Ability to present one-on-one and/or in large groups. Ability to plan and organize, handle multiple priorities and basic budgetary oversight skills. Knowledge of career development process. High work ethics and standards, negotiating skills, and professional social media use

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Coordinate trainings, resources, and enhancements for the web-based career development system for the state of Oklahoma. • Collaborate with the career development team to research, identify, and develop various training and support services to program users through a variety of delivery methods. • Provide resources, support, and professional development opportunities with an emphasis on career development learning experiences for Oklahoma educators, students, and businesses. • Serve as liaison with internal and external stakeholders to support usage of sound career development practices, expansion of career pathways with an emphasis on career readiness and workforce development, work-based learning, and promote and market all facets of the web-based career development system. • Collaborate with the career development team to develop and execute strategies to expand implementation and usage of programs focused on elementary career awareness and work-based learning. • Use social media outlets to promote systems and divisional activities. • Manage regular meetings with external system developers for enhancement, modification, correction, and marketing of the web-based career development system. • Monitor existing performance metrics and analyze for effectiveness and growth opportunities in the system and its outcomes. • Other duties as assigned.

Salary/Benefits: $56,985.95 - $63,421.34 commensurate with education or experience. Health, dental, life and disability insurance; flexible benefits plan; teacher’s retirement; vacation/sick leave; paid holidays; employee assistance program; and flex-time options. Total salary and benefits package valued at $69,536.53 - $76,456.30.
