Oklahoma City Indian Clinic (OKCIC) is a non profit corporation that provides culturally sensitive health care to the American Indian population. OKCIC services not only include basic medical care, but also dental, optometry, behavioral health services, fitness, nutrition and other family programs.

Oklahoma Indian Clinic is hiring a Psychiatrist to our Behavioral Health team. This position provides professional substance abuse and mental health therapy to patients.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducts mental health and substance abuse assessments and diagnosis according to the DSM-5 including but not limited to Neurodevelopmental Disorders, Disruptive Disorders, Trauma-Related Disorders, Depressive Disorders and Anxiety Disorders
  • Analyze and evaluate patient data or test findings to diagnose nature or extent of mental disorder or other presenting problem
  • Prescribe, direct. administer or monitor psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat mental, emotional or behavioral disorders
  • Consults with Behavioral Health Director and other providers regarding assessment, treatment and case management services
  • Completes referrals for patients in need of treatment as appropriate
  • Charts clinical data for diagnosis, treatment, referral, and accountability in a timely manner
  • Crisis Intervention - walk in, phone or medical department referral
  • Serves on committees as assigned

  • Must align with OKCIC vision, mission and core values
  • Must hold a degree of Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from an accredited college or university
  • Must have documentation of completion of residency in Psychiatry from accredited residency program
  • Must be Board certified or Board eligible in Psychiatry
  • Must have license to practice in Oklahoma
  • Must have current DEA license and OBNDD registration for prescriptive authority
