Admixture Technician, Infusion
Tulsa, OK
Under direct supervision of a physician working within a clinic admixture room, performs the technical, non-judgmental aspects of medication preparation. With minimal supervision, responsible for record-keeping and inventory control. Tasks are subject to sequential or final verification by a registered nurse or a registered pharmacist.
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required, minimum five to seven years of experience in a pharmacy setting with IV skills. Oncology background preferred or extensive IV preparation experience. IV certification preferred. Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate or State Pharmacy Board requirements required. Completion of an ASHP and/or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board accredited program or college-based program preferred.
Medical Assistant, Infusion - On-call!
Tulsa, OK
This is a PRN/On-Call position offering no more than 16 hours per week. Schedule varies but typically 2-3 days a week from about 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Performing the Scheduler/CAN/MA role, under direct supervision, assist RN and LPN with patient care duties and general care of patients. Help to facilitate and maintain efficient patient flow. High emphasis on customer service. Serves as a liaison between patients and meds.
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. This position requires 3 or more years of experience as a medical or nursing assistant in a hospital, surgical or clinic setting. Certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants preferred. Current CPR certification required. Proof of current Medical Assistant Certification as required by CMS attestation (must be completed within 90 days of hire if not current). Once MA Certification is obtained it must be kept active/current for employment at OCSRI.
Medical Coder
Tulsa, OK
Under general supervision, this position will manage and execute coding clinical notes supporting a minimum of one specialty. The Coder also functions as a partner to provide feedback and documentation advice to our physicians, practice management team, denials team, and their fellow coders.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 7 years of experience in coding and/or reimbursement activities is required. Clinical background and/or previous chart abstraction experience preferred. Clinical documentation experience collaborating with physicians to improve quality and completeness of documentation of care provided and coded for coordination, abstraction and submission of accurate date required by payers. Must be proficient working in various electronic medical record systems. Previous experience with OncoEMR, Mosaiq, & EMA EMR systems and G4 Studio practice management system preferred. Experience with Encoder Pro or AAPC Coder. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and oncology is preferred Responsible for maintaining current knowledge of coding guidelines and relevant federal regulation using current CPT®, HCPCS Level II, and ICD-10 CM materials and other pertinent materials. Must be able to prioritize duties and manage time in such a way as to successfully complete their responsibilities as well as others, as assigned.
