Job Description:
This is a new position for the recently formed non-profit, New York Center for Research, Economic Advancement, Technology, Engineering and Science Corporation (d/b/a "NY CREATES"), a member corporation whose members are The Research Foundation for the State University of New York (the "Research Foundation") and SUNY Polytechnic Institution Foundation, Inc. NY CREATES seeks to advance high-tech research, development and commercialization opportunities through the acquisition, construction and management of state-of-the-art facilities and programs, while promoting economic development, education and workforce training throughout New York. NY CREATES is the sole member of Fuller Road Management Corporation ("FRMC") (a 501c25 not-for-profit corporation) and Fort Schuyler Management Corporation ("FSMC") (a 501c3 not-for-profit corporation). The successful candidate will be responsible for processing accounts payable transactions and Purchase Order creation as well as providing clerical assistance for all business office functions.
This position is responsible for:
- Accounts Payable- Match invoices to Purchase Orders, invoice approval correspondence, data entry of invoices, resolution of discrepancies.
- Purchase Order Preparation-Prepare Purchase Orders, coordination with staff and vendors.
- Certificate of Insurance-Tracking and obtaining current certificates of insurance required from various parties doing business with the Corporations.
- Provide assistance to staff-Provide assistance with various aspects of department functions, including, assembling emailing documentation.
- Other duties as assigned-It is expected that this position, as all positions at SUNY Poly may at times be asked to assist in other duties not specifically outlined in this job description. It is expected that staff willingly assist their colleagues and management to the best of their abilities and within the expectations of their position.
Requirements:
- Incumbent must have earned a High school diploma and have
- Three years accounts payable experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
- Individual must possess the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
- Work both independently as well as with a team.
- Have strong organization and communication skills.
This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; this position may require annual background checks.
