Job Description

                                               S3.50 Hourly Night Shift Differential Available

                                                                       Sign-on Bonus 

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Loading and unloading material and shipments.
  • Prepare & tag shipments with appropriate documentation from JDE.
  • Operating forklift and crane.
  • General product cleaning and upkeep of shipping and warehouse area.
  • Performs any other job duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to use many different types of tools & have the knowledge to know when to use what tool on which piece of equipment.
  • Knowledge & skill of the operation of forklifts and cranes.
  • Knowledge & skill of the operation of grinders & a variety of hand tools.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards & safety rules.
  • Knowledge of shop safety as normally acquired through 6 months to 1 year of shop experience.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES’

  • Able to read a tape measure
  • Able to operate a crane (onsite training available)

FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work is generally performed in a warehouse environment
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud
  • Position requires no travel
  • Overtime when required, occasional weekend shift (Friday thru Sunday)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Able to operate a forklift
