Seeking an Instrument Man - (Surveyor Assistant) for Tribal Construction
Description:
Assist Professional Surveyor to perform all aspects of topographic, ALTA, boundary, and construction-related surveying fieldwork: Provide data relevant to the shape, contour, gravitation, location, elevation, or dimension of land or land features on or near the earth's surface for engineering, mapmaking, mining, land evaluation, construction, and other purposes.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
•Ability to work independently, unsupervised, completing all tasks related mainly to survey fieldwork.
•Verify accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
•Calculate heights, depths, relative position, property lines and other characteristics of terrain.
•Prepare, maintain and keep detailed field notes.
•Ability to use theodolites, transits, levels, and satellite-based position systems (GPS), Total Station and Robot.
•Ability to locate utilities including verifying and noting depths, sizes and types.
•Ability to recognize needed procedures and suggests them to a supervisor for review.
Minimum Requirements:
•Minimum of 4 years' experience as such.
•GPS, Total Station, Robot and automatic level experience.
•General computer skills.
•Database software, Internet software, Work Processing software, and any land surveyor programs.
•Ability to print, scan and file.
•Valid Oklahoma Driver's License.
