Spanish Teacher
Metro Christian Academy, a college preparatory school offering students a true college preparatory experience in a distinctly Christian environment, seeks a Spanish Teacher for Middle and High School. Start date is January 2020.
The qualified teacher must demonstrate a high proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking of the Spanish language. Instruction includes vocabulary, grammar, and accent as well as spelling and other mechanics of language. The ideal candidate must have a love for teaching and create an environment for students to learn effectively, from beginning speakers to students who are approaching fluency.
This position could potentially teach upper level and AP courses, depending on qualifications and experience of selected candidate.
Must have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and hold an Oklahoma State Teaching Certificate. Minimum requirement is a bachelor’s degree in foreign language, linguistics, or a related field, an understanding of the culture associated with the language(s) taught, and a strong desire to teach.

Paid leave includes 80 hours sick and 24 hours person/emergency leave available at the beginning of the school year, pro-rated the first year.
