Description:
As an Independent Contract Attorney with legal expertise, you will play a crucial role in supporting our tech company's mission of delivering exceptional legal services to clients facing diverse legal issues. Your extensive knowledge and experience in various areas of law, specifically criminal law, will be invaluable in guiding our users through complex legal matters and ensuring they receive top-notch legal counsel.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct virtual consultations with clients seeking legal advice on various legal matters, with a specific focus on criminal law.
2. Provide comprehensive legal analysis and recommendations tailored to each client's unique situation.
3. Assess the strengths and weaknesses of clients' legal positions and communicate potential outcomes clearly.
4. Collaborate with our internal legal team to develop innovative legal strategies and solutions.
5. Maintain meticulous records of consultations and adhere to confidentiality and ethical standards.
6. Stay updated with the latest developments in relevant areas of law to enhance the quality of advice offered.
Requirements:
* Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
* Active license to practice law.
* Minimum of 1 year of experience specializing in one or more areas of law (e.g., criminal law, family law, contract law, etc.).
* Have a malpractice insurance policy.
* Proven track record of successfully representing clients in relevant legal cases.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Ability to manage time efficiently and work independently.
* Proficiency in legal research and writing.
* Technological proficiency for virtual consultations (video conferencing, etc.).
Compensation: The pay range is $50 to $65 per hour per consultation, commensurate with experience and expertise.
