Our History
Hilldale began in 1908 as a small elementary school, then located on a hill near the current Peak and Gulick streets. Over many years, as enrollment grew, new facilities and additional grades were added to the school. As a growing school with limited funds, much of the expansion was accomplished because of the commitment, donations, and physical labor of families with children in the district. In 1982, the first class graduated from Hilldale High School, with 83 graduates. Since that time, Hilldale has become known for strong values and successful students.
