Process Engineer - Permanent position in Baton Rouge, LA offered by Engineers and Constructors International, Inc. Develops LDPE industrial chemical plant (Tubular reactor and Autoclave Reactor) process simulation models, unit operation steps and a sequence of operations to develop heat and mass balances, Process Hazard Analysis (so called PHA, to analyze, define and evaluate any potential problems that may be uncovered by reviewing the safety of designs and revisiting existing processes and operations LDPE Plants to control hazards and risks), and environmental requirements for operating line, etc. Responsible for analyzing LDPE plant chemical process flows and related process equipment (Reactors, Degassing Silos, Compressors, heat exchanger, distillation columns, etc.) and instrument (temperature indicator, controller, DCS, Plant Logic, Cause and effects, etc.) systems. Perform Technical evaluation for peroxide, catalyst and all modifiers used in LDPE Plus all raw material supplier. Oversees critical operations activities such as commissioning of new equipment, trial / test runs, start-up, shutdown and turnaround review development plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards. Evaluate and optimize services for industrial chemical plants. Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or its foreign equivalent plus two (2) years of verifiable experience as a Process Engineer on LDPE industrial plant projects.
