The Eastern Oklahoma Circuit Engineering District (CED2) in Muskogee is soliciting applications for Resident Engineer (RE) in the Construction Management Department.
The RE oversees the project management and inspections for all work performed by the prime contractors and is responsible to ensure construction is completed according to plans and specifications. RE is responsible for plans review, utility relocation verifications, survey, project documentation, initial residency audits, change orders, D.B.E. tracking, materials testing, invoicing, and the processing of payment applications made by the contractor. RE will also provide technical advice and guidance to the contractor during the construction in accordance with ODOT policy and procedures.
The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of working experience as a Resident Engineer for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) projects.
This is sedentary, a non-supervisory position that reports directly to the CED Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from an ABET-accredited university with an active Professional Engineer license from the State of Oklahoma
2. Valid State of Oklahoma Driver's license CED2 provides health care insurance for the employee as well as a matching retirement contribution to OPERS, the State retirement plan. The Resident Engineer will be provided a Government vehicle.
Salary: $8,000 - $10,000 per month
