Accounts Payable Clerk

As a growing company that is expanding its role in the global metallurgical coal market, we have the following opportunity available: Accounts Payable Clerk

This position will require the candidate to perform:

Responsibilities: • Receives, reconciles, and processes vendor invoices • Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; scheduling checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies. • Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions. • General data entry. • Ensures that all accounting transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.

Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED required • Two years of accounts payable experience with general accounting responsibilities • Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance • Proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs, particularly proficient in the use of excel • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality • Excellent data entry skills • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills • Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines • Ability to work independently or as a team member • SAP S4Hana Software Experience (Preferred)
