General Maintenance Worker

The City of Osakis (pop 1771) is accepting resumes for a full time General Maintenance Worker.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the street and park maintenance departments with plowing snow, mowing, park, street, and building maintenance, works well with others and represents the City of Osakis in a professional manner. The position is also responsible for performing water/wastewater maintenance work such as; repairing water main breaks, maintaining fire hydrants, valves, and other water facilities; performing backwashing and filter maintenance; meter reading; and maintaining pumps, motors and other related equipment used in lift stations.

Minimum qualifications include: High school diploma or equivalent, Class B MN Driver's License or obtain within six months of employment, Experience operating street and snow plow equipment. Knowledge of the methods and materials used in repair and maintenance of the water and wastewater systems.

Desired qualifications: Class A MN Commercial Drivers License with an Air Brake e-Endorsement or ability to obtain within six months of employment, certification in water and/or wastewater field as administered by the State of Minnesota, carpentry and/or mechanic stills. Wage range is $22.79 to $31.11 per hour, DOQ.
