Description: The Wakulla News is seeking a reliable and responsible individual to join our team as a Part-Time Newspaper Carrier. As a vital member of our distribution network, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our readers receive their newspapers promptly and accurately.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver newspapers to designated locations on assigned routes within Wakulla County.
- Ensure newspapers are delivered in a timely manner, adhering to set deadlines.
- Maintain the quality and integrity of newspaper deliveries, ensuring newspapers are neatly arranged and undamaged.
- Manage newspaper inventory effectively, reporting any shortages or discrepancies to the distribution supervisor.
- Provide excellent customer service to subscribers, addressing any inquiries or concerns courteously and promptly.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and traffic laws while driving and delivering newspapers.
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with the distribution team regarding route changes, delivery issues, or any other relevant information.
- Handle cash transactions accurately if required for the sale of newspapers.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Excellent time-management skills and punctuality.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift and carry bundles of newspapers.
- Familiarity with the local area of Wakulla County is a plus.
